Dr Shobhan Manoharan

Dr. Manoharan is one of Australia’s leading laser dermatologists. He specialises in the use of energy based devices for both medical and cosmetic dermatology. Actively involved in education, he has a major role in the training of dermatologists and dermatology registrars, junior doctors, general practitioners, pharmacists and medical students in all aspects of dermatology. Dr. Manoharan has published and presented extensively internationally on general, aesthetic and laser dermatology. Based in Brisbane, Australia, he is founder and Medical Director of Brisbane Skin. He was previously the Managing Director of Westside Dermatology and Sweat Free Clinics. He is also past Director of Training for the Australasian College of Dermatology (QLD). He has a special interest in combination treatments for complicated scars (acne, traumatic, surgical and burns), pigmentation, laser rejuvenation, and surgical & non-surgical skin cancer management. Dr. Manoharan studied medicine at the University of Queensland, worked in the United Kingdom and Australia, gained extensive laser and surgical experience in Australia and the United States, and has sub-specialised in cosmetic and laser dermatology. He oversees the clinical research at Brisbane Skin and is on the advisory board of numerous laser and pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Manoharan has established himself as a national expert in medical and cosmetic dermatology and is a regular expert contributor for Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire. He has appeared in programs such as Today Tonight, A Current Affair, as well as numerous radio stations including ABC and 4BC radio. He has appeared in all Australian major television channels and radio stations and performed regular skin checks for politicians in Canberra as part of public education campaigns. Dr Manoharan was a Consulting Dermatologist for L’Oreal Paris Skincare 2015-16. Over the last 10 years of private practice, Dr Manoharan has developed a reputation for outstanding results, a holistic approach to skin health, and has built an industry leading team of clinicians around him.
