At the 2008 RDAA Annual General Meeting, Mark was received the prestigious Rural Doctor of the Year Award in recognition of many years of exemplary service to rural medicine. You can read his citation here. Mark was born in Melbourne in 1952. He always wanted to be a doctor and finally graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1976 . Postgraduate training occurred between 1976 and 1981 and included the following training posts: Intern year at Repat Heidelberg and PANCH in Preston; GP terms in Traralgon; Obstetrics and Gynae at Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester (UK); ENT at The Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth (UK); Advanced General Practice in St Kilda; General Medicine , A& E and Anaesthetics at Maroondah Hospital in Ringwood. This training period included marriage to Jane in 1977 and extensive travel through Asia and Europe. In August 1981 The Zagorskis arrived in Mount Beauty and spent the next 2 decades raising their family in this great valley. Mark has interests in most aspects of rural general practice but in particular he concentrates on anaesthetics, trauma management, back manipulation and more recently acupuncture. He has been Honorary Treasurer of the Rural Doctors Association of Victoria for 14 years and a member of the local hospital board for 15 years. He is a senior instructor with the RACS EMST Course and Chief Medical Officer of The Australian Ski Patrollers Association. Mark's other interests include Swimming, Cycling, Motorcycling (BMW 1200C), Downhill Skiing and Cross Country Skiing and he has completed 11 Cross country ski marathons (The Kangaroo Hoppet).

Jeff Robinson was born in Hamilton, Western Victoria in 1967 and spent his school years living in Stawell and later Ballarat. He studied Medicine at the University of Melbourne, graduating in 1992. He worked as an Intern and later Senior Resident at Royal Melbourne Hospital before spending a year as an Assistant Lecturer at Monash University's School of Medicine. Highlights of Jeff's subsequent training included spending his first GP training position at the Mount Beauty Medical Centre and a six month rotation to the Top End Training Program, working at Nhulunbuy, Darwin and Tennant Creek. Jeff also works as a medical educator for the North Eastern Division of General Practice's National Prescribing Service Program, providing a visiting education and information service to GP's across the region. Jeff is married to Dr Libby Garoni and they have three daughters - Emily, Eleanor and Evangeline. His personal achievements include winning a National Schoolboy Rowing Championship and Ballarat's Head of the Lake. Current interests include cycling, telemark and cross country skiing, flying and producing olive oil on the family property.

Dr Skye Delaney is a GP Obstetrician who first joined Mt Beauty and Falls Creek Medical Centres in 2005. Skye graduated from Medicine at the University of Newcastle in 2002. She subsequently trained in Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Emergency and Surgery at Bankstown and Campbeltown Hospitals. Skye is a former partner of Mt Beauty Medical Centre and she and her family have recently returned from 3 years in Sydney where her husband Damian commenced studying Medicine. Skye and her family have been keen to return to Mt Beauty and have enjoyed both reconnecting with the wonderful community here and rediscovering the many benefits of living in the beautiful Kiewa Valley. Skye has a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has provided obstetrics services locally at Wodonga and Mt Beauty Hospitals and in Sydney at St George and Royal North Shore Hospitals. She has completed courses in sexual and reproductive health, sports medicine, advanced adult and paediatric life support and the emergency management of trauma. She is an accredited supervisor for training GPs and medical students and has lectured as part of the Australian Ski Patrol Association certification programme. Skye's medical interests cover all areas of family medicine with additional interests in emergency medicine, obstetrics, women's health, paediatrics and sports medicine. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. Skye is married to Damian and has two energetic young boys Jesse and Jamie. In her spare time she enjoys cycling, downhill and cross country skiing, hiking, swimming, running, yoga and she loves to travel and discover new places.

Angela joined our team at Mt Beauty Medical Centre in 2012. Having grown up in Albury, then completing her medical training in Newcastle, Angela was keen to return to country life to raise her family. Angela enjoys all areas of General Practice, especially Women’s Health, Emergency Medicine and Preventative Medicine. Prior to moving to Mt Beauty, Angela worked for nearly 3 years in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Newcastle. She completed her Advanced Diploma and uses these skills to provide pregnancy and labour care to women wishing to birth in Mt Beauty and Wodonga. Angela is also a GP Obstetrician working in the birthing unit at Wodonga Hospital. Angela is passionate about teaching. She is a Director on the Board of Bogong GP Training, the regional training provider for GP Registrars and also provides supervision to GP Registrars training in Obstetrics at Wodonga Hospital. Angela is an instructor of the Early Management of Severe Trauma course (EMST) run by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Angela loves living in Mt Beauty with her husband Richard and three children Daisy, Isobel and Arthur. The Stratton family are very active in the community and make the most of the outdoor lifestyle – swimming, snow sports, road and mountain bike riding. She enjoys tending to her garden and baking tasty treats.
