Dr Mittal is a robotic and laparoscopic gallbladder, hernia, and pancreatic surgeon specializing in gallstones, hernias, and pancreatic cancer. Dr Mittal is one of the founding members of the Australian Pancreatic Centre (www.pancreaticcentre.com.au) which is dedicated to the care of pancreatic cancer patients. He is the Surgical Lead for the quality improvement NSQIP program at Royal North Shore Hospital which aims to reduced surgical complications.
Dr Mittal is dedicated to his clinical work with a view to provide the best care to his patients. He is accredited to practice at Royal North Shore Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital, Mater Hospital and Ryde Hospital. Dr Mittal is also a Conjoint Senior Lecturer in Surgery at the University of Sydney, and has previously served as the Director of Surgical Skills Training at the University of Sydney. In addition to this, Dr Mittal was also on the board of CanSur, a charity dedicated to cancer research, and is currently a board member of the Australian Pancreatic Club.
