Biloela Medical Centre is a comprehensive general practice facility that has served the health needs of the Biloela district since 2011. This purpose build state of the art facility was the result of amazing community support along with federal government infrastructure funding to meet the current and future needs of this region. Our team of doctors has been carefully selected to make sure we offer a full range of services to meet the health needs of women and men, young and old, the busy office worker and the transient work population.


  • Dr Richard Tan

    Doctor at Biloela Medical Centre

    Richard Tan emigrated from Malaysia & completed his senior studies at Ipswich Grammar School before studying medicine at the University of Queensland. He has been a general practitioner in Biloela since 1968, when he opened his own practice. This practice was closed in 2011 when Biloela Medical Centre was established and in 2013 he was awarded an OAM for his 46 years medical service to the Biloela community. Richard has a special interest in Skin Cancer Medicine. He is also a VMO at the Biloela Hospital. Away from medicine, he is a farmer who grows squab pigeons & native fish species for the restaurant trade and has an interest in cattle & thoroughbred horses. He is married with 2 children who have so far given him 3 grandchildren.

  • Dr Muhammad Zaman

    Doctor at Biloela Medical Centre

    Dr Muhammad Zaman commenced practice at Biloela Medical Centre in February 2014. Graduated in medicine from the University of Rajshahi Bangladesh, is married and has 3 children. He has worked in general medicine and surgery, obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatrics and opthalmology both in Bangladesh and Australia. He has a special interest in general medicine. Before moving to Biloela Dr Zaman worked in Port Lincoln, South Australia. Interests include music, travelling, playing cricket and spending time with his family.

Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners awarded 2012. Special interests include skin cancer surgery and point of care ultrasound.
