Dr Mohit Tolani is a regional dental surgeon based in Shellharbour, New South Wales, who, in addition to undertaking professional development studies and leadership commitments ranging across nationally, has altruistically devoted his time to various career and community initiatives. Dr Tolani graduated as a dentist from Griffith University in the Gold Coast, Australia. Further to this, Dr Tolani also holds degrees of Master of Public Health and Master of Health Management, a Graduate Certificate in Health and Medical Leadership. Dr Tolani also has a Fellowship in Implant Dentistry from the world-renowned International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and has been admitted into the prestigious global International College of Dentists (ICD) and Pierre Fauchard Academy (PFA) as a fellow in both. In addition to full-time work (also seeing patients at Dapto Dentists, our sister practice), extra-professional studies and research work, his contribution and growth within the dentistry discipline has been appreciated due to the constructive difference it has made to healthcare, indigenous students’ education, dental health advocacy, multicultural enrichment, professional development, and youth leadership. Some of his recent notable acknowledgements include the 2018 The University of Sydney Young Alumni award, 2021 Griffith University Outstanding Health Alumnus of the Year Award, and both the national and state of NSW Pride of Australia Medal in 2018 and more recently, the international Global Summits Institute (GSI), a preeminent peer-to-peer organization in recognizing leading global doctors, recognised Dr Tolani as one of the 2023 ‘world’s top 100 doctors’ attributing to his clinical excellence and community leadership in serving the healthcare profession.

Dr. Adriana is a general dentist, she graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas University in Colombia and has been living in Australia since 2012. Adriana is passionate about educating her patients with regards to the importance of a good oral health and healthy lifestyle. Always keen to listen to her patients, giving them the opportunity to ask questions about any concerns they may have, always supported by the amazing team of our practice. For Dr Adriana the comfort of her patients is a priority, that is why she is always working on delivering her treatment on a gentle manner. She also has a particular interest in periodontal treatments, Extractions and restorative dentistry. Additionally, Adriana speaks Fluent Spanish. “I love being a dentist because through my work I get to know and help people. I can have an impact in people’s wellbeing as well as help improve patient’s health.”

Graduated from Griffith University in Gold Coast in 2017 with a Griffith Award of Academic Excellence, Dr Amy Min is a gentle, caring dentist with a passion for delivering high-quality dental care to patients of all ages. Prior to joining Shellharbour Dentists, Amy worked in busy private practices in Gold Coast and Sydney. Amy is passionate about providing all aspects of general dentistry and has a special interest in orthodontics and cosmetics dentistry. Amy has further attended education in advanced dental treatments such as orthodontics and implants. Dr Amy has completed the International Academy of Advanced Dentistry in Implantology and is currently undergoing a Graduate Diploma in Orthodontics.

Dr. Maryam Kalo is a compassionate and skilled dentist with a Bachelor’s degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Mosul, where she graduated in 2014 as a topranking student. She began her career in Specialized Dental Center in Iraq, gaining comprehensive experience across various dental specialties. Dr. Kalo relocated to Australia and embraced the challenge of adapting to the Australian dental care system. She successfully completed the rigorous Australian Dental Council (ADC) pathway Dr.Kalo prioritizes active listening to understand her patients’ concerns and works collaboratively with them to create customized treatment plans that account for their financial situations, special circumstances, and overall dental and health needs. Dr.Kalo has patientcentered philosophy ensures every individual receives tailored care in a comfortable and supportive environment. As a mom, Dr. Kalo brings a unique understanding and a gentle approach to working with children, making her especially adept at addressing their dental needs. She is passionate about building strong, trusting relationships with her patients and empowering them with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their oral health. Fluent in both English and Arabic, Dr. Kalo connects effortlessly with patients from diverse backgrounds. Her dedication to fostering oral health awareness and providing high-quality, patient-centered care ensures that everyone she treats leaves with a confident and healthy smile.

Patanjali (Pat) Pandey is a caring, experienced and approachable dentist with over 15 years of clinical expertise in looking after the oral health of people in both private and public sector. Pat started his career in dentistry after his graduation of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 2004. In 2008, Pat relocated to Australia with his family and worked for Oral health services in central Queensland, then as senior Dental officer at Hobart Hospital and in other Private practices prior to joining Dapto Dentists. Academically, Pat has completed Post graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry in 2009 from University of the Western Cape South Africa and achieved his Membership of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons Sydney (MRACDS) in 2016. Pat adopts a person-centred approach and recognises that visiting the dentist may be stressful and appreciates the importance of being relatable, compassionate and welcoming, while providing a high level of clinical and surgical care to his patients. Having worked closely with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and obtaining MRACDS he has expertise in minor oral surgery, wisdom teeth including impacted and surgical extractions. Pat is well versed in all aspects of general dentistry and has special interest in non-traumatic wisdom tooth removals, RCT and smile makeovers. Pat is committed to continuously providing the best care for his patients by being the forefront in the latest developments within the dental profession and sharpens his skills by regularly attending professional development programs. Pat lives with his family in the beautiful city of Wollongong. Pat owe a deep sense of gratitude to the community that he belongs so he is involved in various smile projects organised by Dapto Dentists with the goal to make dentistry more accessible and affordable to Dapto Community.
