Dr Kaeli Etheridge is a dedicated dentist with experience in both the public and private sector of dentistry. She enjoys all facets of general dentistry and loves supporting her patients. After growing up in Brisbane, Kaeli studied Biomedical Science at La Trobe University in Melbourne. She soon relocated back to the Gold Coast missing the warmer weather and wanting to study dentistry. She graduated from Griffith University with academic excellence in 2013. Kaeli has had an interest in head and neck anatomy from an early age. Being passionate about helping people, she always wanted to be a front line health worker. This is why she decided to dedicate her career to dentistry. Kaeli enjoys supporting patients on their way to achieve high oral health standards. Before joining the Coastal Dental Care Banora Point team, Kaeli ran a charity and worked in research in Indonesia. It was an incredibly rewarding and humbling experience and she still feels very grateful to have had the opportunity to learn about the Indonesian culture. Apart from dentistry, Kaeli loves to cook for her family and friends. On the weekends, you will usually find her pottering in her garden or at the park reading a book.

After graduating from dental school in the United Kingdom in 2004, he began a diverse, global career in dentistry. Known for his calm and approachable manner, Matthew combines strong clinical skills with a patient-focused philosophy that helps people feel comfortable, informed, and confident throughout their dental care. Early in his career, Matthew served for five years as a dentist in the British Army, a period that played an important role in shaping both his professional development and leadership abilities. During this time, he refined his clinical skills while learning to work effectively in high-pressure environments where adaptability and clear decision-making were essential. One of the defining moments of his military career came in 2007 when he was deployed during the Iraq War. Stationed in Basrah, he was placed in charge of a dental clinic at a military outstation, providing essential dental care to service personnel operating in challenging conditions. Managing a clinic in an operational environment required resilience, organisation, and composure, and the experience remains one of the most formative chapters of his career. Following his military service, Matthew transitioned into private practice and expanded his experience internationally. Over the years, he has practised dentistry in several countries, including Australia, Norway, and Denmark. His time working across different healthcare systems allowed him to gain a broad clinical perspective and an appreciation for the importance of communication and patient-centred care. While living in Denmark, he became a partner and co-owner of a dental clinic located near Copenhagen, where he balanced clinical dentistry with leadership responsibilities, team development, and mentoring younger clinicians. This experience further strengthened his commitment to collaborative dentistry and to supporting patients through personalised treatment planning. Continuing education has remained a key focus throughout Matthew’s professional journey. He has undertaken extensive postgraduate training across many areas of dentistry and has developed a particular interest and experience in surgical disciplines. He is also an Advanced Open Water scuba diver and has completed more than 180 skydives. Closer to home, Matthew enjoys staying active through gym training, surfing, swimming, and climbing. He is also a family man and proud father of three children, and values spending quality time with his family when he is not working or travelling. His international experiences are also reflected in his language skills, as he speaks both Norwegian and Danish fluently after many years living and working in Scandinavia. Dr Monika Guzowski obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the Sydney University in 1995. She began her career working at the United Dental Hospital Sydney where Monika enhanced her skills under specialist supervision. Following this, Dr Guzowski travelled to Europe and the UK where she initially enjoyed a working holiday and ended up living in the beautiful city of Cambridge for 17 years. In UK she worked in private practice developing a loyal following amongst her patients. Dr Guzowski is extremely experienced across all aspects of general dentistry and is committed to providing exceptional oral health care to all her patients. Monika is well regarded as a skilled, dedicated and compassionate dentist who is great with nervous patients. Dr Monika first fell in love with beautiful Gold Coast-Tweed Heads region when visiting her parents who moved here in the 1990. Finally wanting to be closer to her family Dr Monika Guzowski returned to Australia in 2014 and has worked in the Tweed region ever since. But my path to dentistry started long before that as a child growing up, I always dreamed of becoming a dentist. After graduating, I moved to Melbourne to kickstart my career in a prominent practice. There, I participated in a rigorous graduate program that honed my skills. Working in a dynamic environment alongside a team of specialists, this broadened my horizons and fueled my commitment to delivering exceptional care. Empathy is at the heart of my practice. My early years as a dental nurse have provided me with invaluable insights into patient concerns and fears, making me a compassionate clinician.
