Dentist Dr John Paul Lee ‘s journey from South Korea via New Zealand has landed him at New'Gen Dental in Seymour. Having achieved his Bachelor of Dental Science at Otago University, John Paul chose to leave his parents and siblings in the land of the long white cloud to take advantage of greater scope in Australia for general dentistry and implant surgery. He worked around regional Australia and grew fond of the Aussie rural lifestyle, so when the opportunity came 3 years ago to acquire his own practice he snapped it up.
John Paul’s mantra is retention & maintenance of natural teeth rather than extraction, one of his goals is to set up a schools-based preventative dental health project. He is a very fit man who plays tennis and travels extensively to international conferences to stay abreast of best dental practice & technology.John Paul is highly skilled in the field of Implant surgery, he is a lifetime member of Mega Gen International. He gives his own time to train other Dentists in this skilled area.
John Paul is very community orientated, he believes in giving back, he has loyalty program which he donates to local charities of Seymour. In July each year John Paul takes a self-funded 10 day church-based field dentistry trip to Zambia as a volunteer. He says that his reward is the heart warming experience of seeing the smiles of his clients at the end of their treatment.
