About Us

Our lead dentist, Dr. Ahmed Elsheek was initially drawn to dentistry after having an unpleasant experience as a child, which made him think that a dental visit should be an enjoyable experience. Ahmed moved to Australia in 2010, and now calls Brunswick home. He brings 13 years of experience to Lotus Dental after practicing general with the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, Royal Flying Doctors Services and multiple private dental practices in Queensland and Victoria. Ahmed also offers his expertise in Oral Surgery and Dental Implants after completing his Masters with Bii Institute (Sydney) and oral surgery clinic training with The Royal College of Dental Surgeons (Edinburgh). Ahmed is currently a member of the Australian Dental Association and the International Association of Dental Implantologists. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, cooking and baking sugar-free treats, staying active running and hiking.
