Dr. Farhan Wadud is a dedicated and skilled medical professional with extensive experience across multiple healthcare systems. Before joining General Practice with South Kempsey Medical Centre, Dr. Wadud worked as a Senior Resident Medical Officer in the Emergency Department at Port Macquarie Base and Kempsey District Hospitals as well as Bangladesh and Canada. With over 10 years of clinical experience, including postgraduate training in dermatology and cardiovascular technology, he brings a well-rounded, patient-centred approach to his practice. Committed to delivering high-quality care, Dr. Wadud focuses on acute and chronic disease management, Dermatological diseases diagnosis and management, cardiovascular diagnostics, and minor procedures. Dr Ulrika Makuraj is an internationally trained medical practitioner with extensive experience across general practice, emergency medicine, cruise ships and clinical research in South Africa and Australia. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) in South Africa in 2010 and worked as a GP before relocating to Australia during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since moving to Australia, Dr Makuraj has worked in clinical research in Melbourne and as a Senior Resident Medical Officer at Port Macquarie Base Hospital and Kempsey District Hospital. She holds a Master of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and a Graduate Certificate in Travel Medicine. Ulrika enjoys the variety of general practice and values caring for patients at all stages of life. She takes a patient-centred, collaborative approach to care and is now accepting new patients at South Kempsey Medical Centre.

Dr. Sam is a highly experienced GP with over 24 years of service in the Mid North Coast region. His expertise spans various areas, including Aboriginal health, chronic disease management, skin cancer treatment, and ophthalmology. As a founding member of Lake Cathie Medical Centre and a co-owner of a prominent Port Macquarie practice, Dr. Sam is dedicated to delivering quality healthcare in regional communities. He has also contributed to other local clinics and the local jail. With bring an RACGP Examiner and a mentor to dozens of medical students and registrars, Dr. Sam brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Dr. Avishek Thapa, or "Avi," is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in emergency medicine. Prior to joining General Practice, he served as a Senior Resident Medical Officer at Port Macquarie Base and Kempsey District Hospitals. Dr. Anshul Deshmukh's is a compassionate family physician with a special interest in women's and children's health, as well as geriatrics. Having moved to the Macleay Valley in 2016, she has become deeply connected to the local community. With a strong background in hospital medicine and over a decade of experience in gynecology and obstetrics, Dr. Anshul is well-equipped to provide comprehensive healthcare services. She is an accredited antenatal shared care provider and is dedicated to delivering high-quality care to her patients. Swetha has joined General Practice after working as Resident Medical Officer / Medical Registrar at the Kempsey District Hospital and Port Macquarie Base Hospital. She also works at the Port Macquarie Private Hospital as a CMO. Swetha gained a lot of experience in Medicine at the Mayo Private Hospital in Taree. She has a special interest in General Medicine and Chronic Diseases. She is very passionate about her work and always tries to provide the best quality treatment for her patients. You can often see her in long conversations with her patients trying to understand their problems and issues in order to provide them a comprehensive treatment plan.
