Marita is Credentialled Diabetes Nurse Educator since 2002 , she is a member of the Fellow Australian Diabetes Educator’s Association (FADEA), and a Registered Nurse as well. She has worked in Diabetes Service Management (Outpatient & Inpatient) specializing in Type 2 and GDM (Gestational Diabetes) with multicultural clientele ; Diabetes Consultancy services ; Diabetes Clinical Redesign Projects, and Management & Development of Diabetes Clinics. She is also a Member in the Sydney Local District Health (SLDH) Area Diabetes Steering Committee - (a group of Endocrinologists , Diabetes Educators , Allied Health Clinicians & Hospital Directors working on recommending strategies to NSW Sydney Health Department to improve diabetes services. She has achieved a Nominee CDE Of the Year Award - Australian Diabetes Educators’ Association 2018 She is Featured in the Ascencia World Diabetes Day 2017 as one of the Most Inspiring Women From Across The World Who Have Helped To Progress Diabetes.
