Liz grew up in New Zealand and completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Auckland before moving to Melbourne to complete her Doctor of Optometry at the University of Melbourne in 2015.

Valerie grew up in Sydney before relocating to Geelong to study Optometry at Deakin University. Following graduation, she made Newcastle her home and has enjoyed living and working in the region ever since. She is passionate about giving back to the local community and has volunteered her time as an optometrist for primary school vision screening programs and Hunter Homeless Connect. With nearly a decade of clinical experience and qualifications in ocular therapeutics, Valerie is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based eye care tailored to each patient's individual needs. Outside of work, she enjoys spending weekends at the beach and exploring the diverse cafés and restaurants throughout Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.

Alivia graduated with a Bachelor of Optometry from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and has more than 25 years of clinical experience in optometric practice. After beginning her career in Adelaide, where she practised for two years, Alivia spent many years working as a locum optometrist across Australia before joining The Optical Co in Charlestown in 2017. Alivia has a particular interest in binocular vision disorders, including eye coordination problems, focusing difficulties and double vision. She believes good vision is about more than seeing clearly, it also requires the eyes and brain to work together comfortably and efficiently. She enjoys all aspects of comprehensive eye care, with a strong focus on the early detection, prevention, and management of eye diseases. Alivia values building long-term relationships with her patients and takes the time to provide thorough, individualised care. In addition to her clinical practice, Alivia is committed to giving back through humanitarian eye care. She has volunteered on overseas eye care missions, helping provide essential vision and eye health services to underserved communities.

Arash graduated from UNSW in 1993. He holds a special interest in contact lenses, children's vision and Myopia control. Arash lives on the northern Suburbs of Sydney, and tries to keep up with three boys and a Cavoodle.

Emily has relocated to Singleton from study and work in Brisbane. She enjoys building relationships with patients in their ongoing eye care through all stages of life. She likes exploring the Hunter Valley's parks, restaurants and local markets on the weekends with her husband and dog (Hercules).
