Barry Clennar qualified as an optometrist in South Africa back in 1979 and completed a post graduate diploma in Advanced Orthoptics and binocular vision in 1983. He immigrated to Australia in 1985 and acted as a clinical supervisor at the university of NSW in the Binocular vision and general clinics until 2000. In 2010, Barry completed the Postgraduate certificate in Ocular Therapeutics at the UNSW, where his interests are in the management of anterior and posterior segment eye disease, treatment of binocular vision disorders, dry eye management and myopia control. Outside of Optometry, Barry enjoys playing golf, swimming, outdoor activities including bush walks, bird and whale watching.
