Therese graduated from UNSW with a Master of Clinical Optometry and Bachelor of Vision Science with Distinction. She is a therapeutically endorsed optometrist with experience across both community optometry and ophthalmology settings. She has a special interest in myopia management and contact lenses, including orthokeratology, as well as dry eye management and ocular disease care. Therese is passionate about providing comprehensive eye examinations and working closely with patients to help them better understand and manage their eye health. She has experience co-managing patients alongside ophthalmologists in cataract, glaucoma and retinal care, and is committed to delivering thorough, personalised care to patients of all ages. Outside of work, she enjoys pilates, trying new cafés and restaurants, and baking for friends and family.

Leo is a dedicated optometrist committed to delivering comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages. Holding a Master’s in Clinical Optometry and a Bachelor’s in Vision Science, Leo combines strong clinical knowledge with a patient-focused approach. He has a special interest in myopia control, digital eye strain, and glaucoma management, and stays up to date with the latest advancements in optometry to provide high-quality, personalised care. From supporting children with myopia management to helping patients manage digital eye strain and glaucoma, Leo aims to meet each patient’s individual vision needs. Outside of work, Leo enjoys training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at local gyms, a practice that helps build the focus and discipline he brings to patient care. Penshurst Eyecare was founded by Reynold and Leo to practice optometry in a way that prioritises personalised care and long-term eye health for every patient. Reynold graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Clinical Optometry. Since then, he has gained extensive experience in corporate optometry and traveled across New South Wales, working in clinics and schools from Wollongong to Byron Bay. Reynold has a special interest in children’s optometry and is passionate about myopia control, helping young patients achieve better eye health and long-term vision care.

Lisa is an experienced Orthoptist with over 10 years of clinical experience. She completed a Bachelor of Health Science before earning her Master’s in Clinical Vision Science (Orthoptics) from the The University of Sydney in 2011. Throughout her career, Lisa has worked across a variety of settings including hospitals, private practices, schools, and clinics. She has a strong interest in children’s vision and focuses on treating common visual skill difficulties through vision therapy rather than relying solely on glasses or surgery. Lisa often describes Orthoptics as “physiotherapy for the eyes and brain.” Outside the clinic, she regularly visits primary schools across Greater Sydney to educate parents and teachers about the important role vision plays in learning and development. She also works closely with the clinic’s optometrists to ensure patients have access to a comprehensive range of assessments and eye care services.
