Michael completed his Bachelor of Vision Science (with Distinction) in 2014 and Master of Optometry (with Distinction) in 2016 from Queensland of University of Technology (QUT). Michael is therapeutically qualified to prescribe ocular medication to manage eye disease. He has gained several years of clinical experience in a variety of different optometry settings both in Brisbane and Melbourne. Michael enjoys all facets of optometry, with a particular interest in ocular pathology, myopia control, and contact lenses, including Orthokeratology (Ortho-K).

Morag graduated from from Queensland University of Technology with first class honours in 1994. She has subsequently completed her Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics which enables her to prescribe therapeutic drugs for the treatment of eye diseases. Morag has also completed post graduate study in Behavioural Optometry which fostered her keen interest in children’s vision and Myopia control in children. She is a member of the Australasian College of Behavioral Optometrists and now with two children of her own, Morag enjoys examining children with an enhanced understanding of their developmental milestones and needs.

With over 20 years of professional experience in rural, regional and metropolitan private optometry practices, Geraldine Bendell brings her problem solving expertise to Toowong Optometrists. Having graduated from QUT in 2000, Geraldine has gone on to complete her Graduate Certificate in Therapeutics in 2007. Geraldine has mentored new optometrists and optometry students over the years with a passion for quality eye care and a special interest in the health of patients’ eyes. Being a mother of 4, Geraldine has a special interest in ensuring children’s eyes get the attention they deserve.

Nancy has over 20 years of clinical experience in all areas of optometry. Nancy completed her Bachelor of Applied Science (Optometry) at QUT and later completed a Master of Business Administration and Sports Vision Accreditation. She has also completed a post graduate qualification in optometry allowing her to prescribe ocular therapeutic medication. She has served on the Optometrists Board of Queensland and the Board of Royal Blind Foundation and is a former Director of the Optometrists Association of Australia (OAA), QLD/NT, having served as President in 2003-2004. She is also a committee member on the Registration and Notification Committee for the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), which is responsible for registering optometrists in Australia. With two children of her own, Nancy has a keen interest in children’s vision. She is also passionate about contact lens fitting, Myopia control in children, eye disease diagnosis, monitoring and management.

Helen graduated from Queensland University of Technology with Honours in 1996, and subsequently completed a Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics, allowing her to prescribe ocular therapeutic medication.   Helen has over twenty years of experience and has gained a broad range of knowledge and prides herself on being thorough, and loves solving people’s eye problems.
