Matt was born and raised in Brisbane's southwest, and graduated with first class honours in Optometry from QUT in 2008. He underwent further training in 2012 in order to prescribe eyedrops to treat a wide range of eye diseases. He enjoys all aspects of eye care, from managing eye diseases, to fitting contact lenses, to assisting patients with complicated spectacle lenses. He prides himself on providing a calm environment for his patients, getting to know them (not just their eyes), and taking the time to explain all of the information they might need clearly and completely. Matt enjoys hiking, kayaking and soccer as well as exploring the natural beauty of New Zealand's south island whenever he can.
