Candice completed her Bachelor of Vision Science and Master of Optometry at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 2015. She subsequently obtained a Specialist Certificate in the Management of Paediatric Patients through the University of Melbourne.
Candice has a strong clinical and research interest in paediatric optometry and is a registered Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH) Aligned Optometrist. She is currently undertaking a PhD focused on paediatric eye care and is committed to advancing the delivery of evidence-based vision care for children.
In addition to her clinical practice, Candice serves as a Clinical Supervisor at QUT, where she mentors optometry students in paediatric and primary care teaching clinics. She also enjoys providing outreach optometry services across regional Queensland as part of her academic role.
Candice is therapeutically endorsed and is a CASA-credentialed optometrist, enabling her to perform aviation eye examinations. She is passionate about delivering attentive, personalised, and high-quality eye care to patients of all ages.
