After completing her studies at Queensland University of Technology in 2015, including training at Canada's University of Waterloo, she returned to the Sunshine Coast in 2016 to begin her work at Fitzpatrick Family Optometrists.
As a therapeutically endorsed optometrist, Sarah has a special interest in treating anterior eye diseases, glaucoma and dry eye. She is also a CASA-credentialed optometrist, with the certification to provide aviation eye examinations.
In 2018, she joined the Nambour partnership with Geoffrey and Deborah Fitzpatrick to continue their dedicated work as Wilson Fitzpatrick Family Optometrists. Sarah values giving compassionate care to her patients and consistently takes the time to ensure that their visual needs are understood and met.
Geoffrey completed his studies at the then Queensland Institute of Technology and commenced private practice in optometry in 1972. He moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1984 and began work in Nambour, extending his care into Maroochydore and Kingaroy in subsequent years.
Geoffrey has a special interest in general optometry, contact lenses (including rigid contact lenses and Ortho-k) and keratoconus.
As a pilot himself, Geoffrey takes great pride and pleasure in his ability to regularly provide eye car to residents of rural Queensland. He is also a member of the Queensland Children’s Hospital Alignment Program as well as being a CASA-credentialed optometrist.
Following completion of her studies at Deakin University in 2017, Natalie spent two years in private practice in her hometown of Yarrawonga, Victoria. Here she discovered a love for ocular therapeutics and glaucoma management. In 2019, Natalie moved north, working as a locum optometrist throughout Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria. She also began a role as a clinical optometrist in Kingaroy alongside Dr. Damien O’Brien (Ophthalmologist), assisting in preparing patients pre-operatively and post-operatively and furthering her knowledge of glaucoma management and therapeutic treatment of eye disease.
Wilson Fitzpatrick Family Optometrists were excited to have Natalie join the team in March 2020. She has a special interest in managing ocular pathology including anterior eye disease and dry eye syndrome, as well as Children's Vision, having completed an advanced certificate in Children's Vision with the Australian College of Optometry. Her consistently positive and enthusiastic approach to managing her patient's individual visual needs is a wonderful addition to the Wilson Fitzptrick team.
