Hi, I'm Richard Watt and I established Bay Optics in Hervey Bay in 1989. After selling our practice in 2021, the new owners have invited Gwen and myself to return to work and bring our own passion and personality. We are looking forward to seeing some of our old patients and plenty of new ones too. I still get a buzz out of giving people a detailed eye exam and explaining all my findings in a way that helps people understand what's really going on with their eyes and vision. Honest, friendly and professional is still my compass for how I practice optometry and live my life in general. Qualification: DipAppSc(Optom)

I hold a Masters in Optometry with therapeutic endorsement. I love a challenge when it comes to tapping into my therapeutic skills, which enable me to prescribe topical drops for ocular treatment. My passion include children's’ vision, diagnosing and co-managing eye disease with ophthalmologists
