Phylicia is a therapeutically-endorsed optometrist who grew up in Perth, and developed an early interest in eye health as a result of her own family's experiences with glaucoma, diabetes and myopia. This led her to complete her studies with a Master of Optometry at Queensland University of Technology. Whilst in Queensland, she also worked as an optical dispenser for several years before graduating.
Phylicia has a particular interest in paediatric optometry and is committed to helping patients maintain healthy vision from an early age. She finds it incredibly rewarding to be able to help people see more clearly, and maintain this vision in the future. She values taking the time to listen to her patients, answer any queries they may have, as well as to explain their eye health in a way that's easy to understand. Phylicia is also currently completing the Advanced Certificate in Children's Vision course through the Australian College of Optometry. In addition to working at Bullseye, she also works at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital Eye Clinic.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, and fostering rescue cats.
