Amma offers behavioural optometric vision care and vision therapy with 16 years experience and special interests in children’s vision and development, as well as contact lenses. She is completing her Fellowship of the Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists (ACBO) with advanced skills in assessment, diagnosis and treatment, including vision therapy.
She has attended many accreditation courses in Australia and the United States of America as part of her accumulation of knowledge and expertise in behavioural optometry.
Amma graduated from the University of Auckland with her Optometry degree in 2004 and the post-graduate certificate in Ocular Therapeutics to treat and prescribe eye infections and inflammations.
She has particular interests in myopia progression (short-sightedness) and management including ortho-keratology and the use of low dose Atropine.
