Dr Simon Perkins is a Queensland trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in hip, knee and trauma surgery including Robotic Joint Replacement Surgery. Dr Perkins studied Medicine at the University of Queensland and underwent his surgical training locally. After receiving a Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons he completed sub-speciality fellowships in Complex and Revision Lower Limb Arthroplasty in London, UK and Sports Knee and Arthroplasty Surgery in Bristol, UK. Dr Perkins is the Former Director of Orthopaedics at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH). He is Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland School of Medicine, a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. His special interests include sports knee, robotic hip and knee surgery and orthopaedic trauma.

His practice has a strong focus on patients with hip and knee concerns , in particular, reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee and arthritis and newer cartilage healing techniques . Hugh is a Queensland trained Orthopaedic surgeon, originally from the UK. He is the 6th generation Doctor in his family to have attended the same Scottish medical school (St. Andrews/Dundee) and a second generation Orthopaedic surgeon. Dr English runs a hip and knee clinic at the Brisbane Orthopaedic Specialist rooms in conjunction with an Orthopaedic Clinical Nurse to provide ongoing management of orthopaedic conditions. Pre-theatre admission clinics with Hugh’s nurse provide both the patient and their family with education regarding their surgery. A separate combined clinic provides long-term review and follow up for all patients with joint replacements to ensure the best outcomes after surgery. Dr English has published and presented extensively and is involved in ongoing research in arthritis treatments particularly of the hip and knee, and also robotic and computer assisted surgery .

Dr William O’Callaghan is an Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in surgery of the Knee, Hip, Shoulder and Trauma. Dr O’Callaghan performs arthroplasty, arthroscopy, soft tissue reconstruction and revision surgeries for all three major joints. He routinely uses robotics, computer navigation, patient specific instruments and 3D planning to complement his surgical technique. Additionally, he is proficient in limb trauma and complex fracture care. Brisbane born and raised, Dr O’Callaghan studied both Physiotherapy (B.Phty Hons) and postgraduate Medicine (MBBS) at the University of Queensland. He undertook specialist orthopaedic training in Queensland with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. Dr O’Callaghan undertook additional sub-specialty training in knee, hip and shoulder reconstructive surgery; completing the Orthopaedic Research Institute of Queensland (ORIQL) postgraduate clinical fellowship in Townsville. He continued to work in FNQ as a full-time orthopaedic specialist at Cairns hospital from 2020 until returning home to Brisbane in 2023. Dr O’Callaghan has a keen interest in research and is published across a range of orthopaedic topics in international peer-reviewed journals. He is very interested in innovation and is currently undertaking several research studies to further advance the practice of orthopaedics. He is an active, accredited supervisor of trainee surgeons. When it comes to orthopaedics, Dr O’Callaghan strives to apply the best clinical knowledge, technology, and techniques to each individual patient’s circumstances to provide bespoke, holistic care to the highest standards of excellence. Dr O’Callaghan is both a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS) and a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA). He is also an associate member of Orthopaedic Research Institute of Queensland (ORIQL).

IS A QUEENSLAND TRAINED ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON SPECIALISING IN HIP AND KNEE ARTHROPLASTY. Having completed a dual Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Commerce at The University of Queensland in 2005 followed by a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery in 2010. He subsequently completed Orthopaedic training in Queensland and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2021 and Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association also in 2021. Dr Fraser has completed further subspecialty training in primary and revision hip and knee replacement with a strong focus on the usage of robotic technology. Dr Fraser maintains a public appointment at the Prince Charles Hospital where he is involved in training future orthopaedic surgeons. In addition to hip and knee arthroplasty he also manages sports injuries of the knee including ACL and meniscus pathology, hip and knee arthroscopy as well as general lower limb trauma. Dr Fraser is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
