Book with Prof Phong Tran

Prof Phong Tran is an orthopaedic surgeon consulting at St Vincent’s Private Hospital East Melbourne, Fitzroy and Werribee campuses. He is dedicated to providing excellent care and achieving the best possible outcomes. Prof Tran is an Australian-trained orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in surgery of the hip, shoulder and knee. He uses the most technically-advanced robotic equipment, where possible, in his surgical procedures. Phong completed his undergraduate training at Monash University in 1999 and his orthopaedic surgery training in 2007. In 2009 Phong travelled to Germany to undertake further training specialising in sports injury, shoulder and knee arthroscopic surgery. He then continued his fellowship training in 2010 to advance his skills and expertise in hip arthroscopy and muscle-sparing anterior hip replacement. Phong is the head of orthopaedic surgery at Western Health and has also been the recipient of a number of research and academic awards.
