  • Ingrid’s clinical work over the past 15 years has taken place in disability agencies, employment services, employee assistance services, the Lifeline Crisis Counselling service, and private practice. Ingrid sees individuals from 12 years of age. Ingrid is also a qualified Life Coach. She recognises that people are people everywhere and that life can be seriously hard sometimes. Please note: Ingrid works with individuals only as this is her area of expertise. For couples counselling, please book with one of our other psychologists. Ingrid has extensive experience using evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Schema Mode Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Mindfulness-based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Assertiveness Training, Anger Management, and Trauma-informed Therapy. Ingrid enjoys helping individuals work through anxiety, stress and depression. She can help if you are going through grief and loss, relationship or sexual difficulties, vocational uncertainties, body image issues, and low self-esteem. She also sees clients wishing to overcome addiction, better manage chronic health or chronic pain issues, and people struggling with self-harm behaviours. Additionally, Ingrid is skilled at working with parents. She’s an accredited Circle of Security (CoS) Parenting Training facilitator (a form of attachment-based therapy). Ingrid has a teenage son of her own, and knows full well the challenges of parenting. Ingrid communicates hope to her clients. She knows people can change. She enjoys seeing people’s confidence grow. She works collaboratively with you to set goals. She is flexible and adapts psychological treatment modes and models to cater to your needs. Ingrid maintains her own yoga and meditation practices to continue gaining insights into her own self. She also loves the great outdoors. As a person, Ingrid is optimistic, sensitive, empathic, and trustworthy. As a psychologist, she brings all these qualities and more to her work Ingrid will make you feel very safe, respected and at ease.
