Dr. Rajiv (Dr. Raj) completed his dental graduation (1999), post-graduation and DNB (Diplomat of National Board) in Periodontology in India. He then completed Australian Dental Council (ADC) qualifying exams for overseas dentists and obtained a licence to practice dentistry here in Australia (2012). Since then, he completed his Graduate Diploma of Dental Implantology from James Cook University (2017). Dr. Rajiv Subbaiah is a member of: Australian Dental Association Australian Society of Implant Dentistry International Congress of Oral Implantologists Dr. Raj has trained extensively in the field of gum infections, cosmetic dentistry, root canal treatment, restorative dentistry and dental implants. He is also trained in the delivery of "happy gas". With his pleasing attitude and training in clinical skills, Dr. Raj is able to explain treatment plans and deliver them accordingly. Dr. Raj has been actively involved in community services, such as relay for life, providing health education lectures in local schools and kindergartens. Dr. Raj and his wife have a young family and likes to spend time with them. In his spare time, he like follows and plays sport, especially tennis and cricket. He loves watching movies and listening to music.

Dr. Mai completed her Bachelor and Master in Dental Surgery at Universities in India. After obtaining her qualification from Australian Dental Council, she practiced dentistry at a private dental surgery in Mackay, QLD, for nearly 5 years. After she and Dr Raj relocated to the Gold Coast in 2019, they have gracefully taken over Robina Family Dental Surgery from Dr Jin Chan, and have been providing quality dental care for all their lovely patients. With over 10 years of experience in the field of dentistry, Dr. Mai is well known for her caring and thorough approach towards the dental problems of her patients. Mai's passion for dentistry constantly drives her to attain the highest level of professionalism in her field. She keeps herself updated with the latest developments in dentistry by attending various professional development courses. She believes that open communication and detailed discussions between the doctor and patient are the key factors for achieving the most satisfactory results. Mai enjoys working in the vast field of restorative dentistry wherein she is able to use her training in Orthodontics in conjunction with General dentistry to help provide comprehensive treatment options for her patients which then leads to high quality dental treatment and happy patients. She enjoys working with children and makes them feel at-ease during their dental visits. She has been complimented on her gentle touch which can be especially helpful for anxious patients. Outside the office, Dr. Mai loves to spend quality time with her friends and family. She and her husband have two gorgeous little girls, who are currently keeping them very busy
