To prepare for his dental career, Sean completed his training at the University of Western Australia in 2006, graduating with Honours. He also received a coveted prize for endodontics. Sean has considerable experience as a dentist. He worked in private practice for over 10 years, including owning a successful practice in Melbourne. To keep up to date with the latest in dental technology, Sean regularly attends continuing professional development activities in a range of topics. He has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry, whilst maintaining a focus on providing all aspects of general dentistry to a high level.

Dr Joy Er (Dentist) believes that great dental care starts with trust and empathy. Her warm approach and calming presence help patients feel at ease, especially those with past dental anxiety. Growing up in a healthcare-focused family, she witnessed firsthand how meaningful it is to build lasting relationships with the people you care for. That same commitment now shapes her work every day.

Gavin joined our sister practice, Ranford Road Dental Centre, in 2010. Three years later, he took on the new opportunity and challenge of moving to Dentist WA Canning Vale. He’s now joined by many of his previous colleagues at our practice. He works closely with Sarah, our oral health therapist, to provide patients with the highest available quality dental care. With an attention to detail and direct nature, patients appreciate Gavin’s comprehensive dental solutions and that he keeps their best interests in mind. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, as well as dental implants.

For Dr Matt Tan, dentistry is all about precision, comfort, and care. He combines a calm, patient-centred approach with leading-edge technology to help people feel more confident about their smiles—and their experience in the chair. Dr. Ismail is a dedicated dentist with a keen interest in restorative and prosthodontic dentistry. Currently, he is actively pursuing further education through various courses to develop his skills and expertise in these areas. Alongside this, Dr. Ismail finds fulfillment in all aspects of dentistry, embracing the opportunity to continually learn and grow in his profession. Through ongoing education and a commitment to excellence, he strives to deliver optimal outcomes and restore smiles with precision and artistry.

Rajaa graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2010. In addition to her university education, she takes professional development courses on a regular basis. For Rajaa, the most fulfilling aspect of being a dentist is showing her patients that visiting the dentist doesn’t need to be unpleasant.

Suanne has been working with us since 2009 at Ranford Road Dental Centre previously and at Dentist WA Canning Vale since it’s opening at the Queensgate Centre. She graduated from UWA in 2006 with Honours. She is committed to keeping abreast of the latest developments in dentistry; regularly attending continuing education courses. She has obtained a Graduate Diploma of Dental Public and Primary Health and is also a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Suanne enjoys performing all aspects of general dentistry but also believes in treating each patient holistically. A visit to the dentist can be a great opportunity to pick up on many general health problems. She is known amongst her patients for being very gentle and caring.

Maria graduated at the top of her class with first class honours from the University of Western Australia. During her years in practice, she has won numerous awards in fixed prosthodontics, removal prosthodontics, pathology and restorative dentistry. She has also been awarded the Australian Dental Association prize and the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons prize in recognition of outstanding academic achievement. Additionally, Maria is a clinical tutor at the University of Western Australia Dental School, teaching students about performing dental work on patients. She attends many professional development courses internationally and domestically to stay informed on the ever-changing dental technologies and procedures. Maria joined the Ranford Road Dental Team in 2008. Since then, she’s been an integral member with an impeccable standard of dental care, including extractions, restorative work, dental implants, general family dentistry.

Dr. Jasmine Li is a distinguished dental practitioner with a passion for delivering exceptional care across all aspects of general dentistry. With a focus on aesthetic dentistry—including ceramic crowns, and implants – Dr. Li is committed to providing her patients comprehensive, cutting-edge treatments in a relaxed and welcoming environment. A graduate with first-class honours from the University of Western Australia, Dr. Li earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, where she was recognised with the ADAWA Award for Leadership Excellence and the prestigious G.D. Henderson Prize in Oral Surgery. Her academic journey also includes a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) from Monash University, equipping her with a unique ability to manage medically complex cases and navigate intricate medication regimens with ease. Dr. Li’s pursuit of excellence drives her ongoing professional development. She is currently completing a graduate diploma in implant dentistry under the mentorship of renowned Sydney prosthodontist Dr. Christopher Ho. This advanced training equips Dr. Li with cutting-edge techniques and knowledge to tackle complex implant cases, ensuring her patients receive the best possible outcomes.
