Kosmac & Clemens Optometrists was originally formed by Edward Kosmac and Ian Clemens in January 1992 when they opened their first practice in Kyneton. Seeing the need and opportunity to expand their services to more remote regional areas they opened their next practice in Maryborough in 1994. The Castlemaine practice was opened in March 1998 offering a unique service to Central Victoria: The Children’s Vision Clinic Service. The clinic’s director, Dr. Arthur Stevens, soon became the third practice partner. In March 2002, the Bendigo practice was opened and The Children’s Vision Clinic re-located to the Bendigo practice. The fifth Kosmac & Clemens practice was opened in May 2003 in Woodend. In January 2015 the Bendigo practice relocated from Mitchell Street Bendigo to Shop 48C Strath Village Shopping Centre to provide ease of access and convenient parking for all patients.
