Jaka graduated with a degree in Doctor of Optometry from the University of Melbourne in 2017. He has received extensive clinical training in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and vision disorders. Prior to Lakkis Optometry, Jaka had worked all over Australia including regional areas as a locum optometrist where he gained experience in managing and triaging various eye conditions and emergencies. Having returned permanently back to Melbourne, Jaka is committed to provide and continue a high level of eyecare and services for the local community. Jaka is also a member of Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists and has accreditation in vision therapy where he can provide support in children as well as adults with binocular vision problem and learning difficulties. Outside of work, Jaka is an avid runner, martial artist and AC Milan’s fan. He is passionate about soccer, music and learning different languages and cultures all over the world. He is also fluent in Indonesian.

Vivienne is a highly skilled and dedicated optometrist with a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Melbourne. After gaining valuable experience in regional Victoria, she returned to Melbourne to join Lakkis Optometry as a Clinical Optometrist. Vivienne is passionate about all aspects of optometry, with a particular focus on the management of anterior eye disease and the control of myopia progression. She combines her extensive knowledge with a compassionate approach, taking the time to understand her patients’ concerns and educate them about their eye health. Outside the clinic, Vivienne enjoys dining out at restaurants and spending holidays at the beach. She likes to stay active with tennis, dance, and yoga. Recently, she has taken up running and proudly completed her first half marathon! Vivienne can speak conversational Cantonese.

Dr Graham Lakkis

Graham Lakkis graduated with a degree in Optometry from the University of Melbourne in 1988, and was awarded a Commonwealth Postgraduate Research Award for finishing in the top 1% of university graduates Australia-wide. He established a private optometry clinic in East Keilor in 1991.Dr Lakkis completed a postgraduate degree in Ocular Therapeutics athe University of Melbourne in 2001. He was awarded fellowship of the Australian College of Optometry in 2012 for his contributions to the profession of Optometry. Currently Dr Lakkis is Senior Fellow in the Department of Optometry at the University of Melbourne, with responsibility for lecturing and clinical teaching in glaucoma and other eye diseases. Dr Lakkis has also lectured at conferences in Australia and overseas on topics such as macular degeneration, complex contact lens fitting, glaucoma, and scanning laser tomography.
