Katie is a Physiotherapist with 20 years of both clinical experience and has been working at JBS Physiotherapy since February 2025. Before that she was working as a clinical Change Manager across numerous public hospitals facilitating clinicians to develop new models of care, and new ways of working , while managing the behavioural change required to ensure smooth transition from old to new. She is a trained coach and a facilitator which she untilises to help clients reach their full potential.
Katie worked as a Senior Neurological Physiotherapist at Prince of Wales Hospital for almost 9 years rehabilitating patients following stroke, neurological conditions and brain injury. This required an in-depth knowledge of the neurological system, skilled analysis and functional rehabilitation to enable patients to regain their independence. She is passionate about gait analysis and facilitating patients to get back to their optimal levels of fitness and function ensuring quality of life for patients with physical impairments.
Katie worked in Musculoskeletal (MSK) private practice treating clients with a wide range of MSK conditions. She blends her skills from neuro, MSK and coaching to rehabilitate clients to achieve their goals.
Katie is a qualified mat Pilates instructor and enjoys using this as a tool to connect patients back to their body, move better, gain strength and reduce pain.
Katie attained her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Manchester University, United Kingdom in 2005. Since then, she has continued to maintain her ongoing professional development by attending courses and researching the literature. Katie’s skills include McKenzie’s approach, Mulligan’s manipulations, Barbara Hungerford’s muscle energy technique and Bobath. Katie also has a keen interest in Women’s Health.
Katie is a mum of two beautiful girls aged 4 and 7 and in her spare time loves to run and go on bush walks with the family. She understands the difficulties of juggling work and family but is passionate about self-resourcing and efficiency to maintain strength as we age.
