Daniel graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Physiotherapy degree having previously completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at RMIT University. Daniel is currently undergoing further training to become a titled Sport and Exercise Physiotherapist, studying a Master of Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University.
He enjoys applying evidence-based principles in the diagnosis and management of a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, with particular interest in the hip, knee and shoulder. He also has a keen interest in assessing and treating adolescent sporting injuries.
Alongside working at Alphington Sports Medicine, Daniel is currently the Head Physiotherapist at the University Blues Football Club, who compete in the VAFA Men’s Premier Division. He also works as a Trainer for the Sydney Swans AFL team at their Melbourne based games, and is a casual academic at La Trobe University, teaching in their Physiotherapy course. Daniel’s previous experience also includes sub-elite junior Australian Rules Football level as Physiotherapist for the Calder Cannons, and elite basketball through coverage for the New Zealand Breakers NBL team when playing in Melbourne.
Away from work, Daniel enjoys playing golf (poorly) and basketball, and finding the best food around Melbourne.
