A new method of connecting with, and receiving client bookings from Benestar, powered by MyHealth1st.
What is Benestar Connect?
Benestar and MyHealth1st have been working together to develop a simple, fast and easy to use method of allocating clients to associate clinicians.
Via a MyHealth1st integration with your existing clinic software, or via a free MyHealth1st Diary, the booking and re-scheduling client appointments will be much more efficient.
This will reduce the time and administrative costs, while also significantly improving the client experience.
Together we are innovating the way clients seek mental health care in their time of need.
The allocation of clients to associates is outdated and needs to be improved!
Currently, there are repeated several phone calls needed between Benestar, the client and possible associate clinicians to schedule a session for a client in need. This current process results in:
- Time wasted for associates (Missed calls during consults, then having to make calls between consults or after hours to organise Benestar booking).
- Client is left waiting, in their time of need.
How Does Benestar Connect Work?
If you have practice management software, your availability is integrated via MyHealth1st automatically. This means bookings are placed directly into open spaces in your schedule. If you don’t use any practice software, not to worry, you will be provided with a MyHealth1st Diary where you can share your availability for bookings. In either case, you are notified via email for any client booking made.
There are also no charge s for Benestar Associates to use Benestar Connect.
Additionally, with the reduced scheduling effort, your team will be free to provide even greater service to your clients and increased billable hours.
MyHealth1st Marketplace
Your practice will also be listed on MyHealth1st.com.au . This will provide an additional channel (outside of Benestar) for clients to reach your practice, benefiting from the thousands of patients using MyHealth1st each week to find and book health services.
Non-Benestar new client bookings via MyHealth1st.com.au incur a one time fee of $45 ex GST . Again, there are no charges for returning clients, or no shows. There is only a charge to your practice after you have seen a new client.
For these non-Benestar bookings made with you via MyHealth1st, your normal session rates apply, as these services are not aligned to Benestar EAP sessions.

Q: How do I know when I get a booking?
If you are using practice software that integrates with MyHealth1st, the booking will automatically be placed into your practice software. You will also receive an email.
If you don’t have practice software, or software that MyHealth1st does not yet integrate with, MyHealth1st will provide you with an online calendar, by which you can set up your availability for bookings. You will see your bookings populate in our online portal, as well as being notified via email.
Q: Is there a cost?
The usual setup costs of $150 ex GST are being jointly funded by Benestar and MyHealth1st. There are no monthly subscriptions fees or referrals fees for EAP client via Benestar Connect.
Remember, even via MyHealth1st, there is no charge for returning clients, or clients whom do not attend. If you don’t receive any new clients in a given month, there is no charge.
For new client bookings the charges are:
- New Clients to your practice via Benestar - No Cost
- New Clients to your practice via MyHealth1st.com.au - $45 ex GST
Q: Can I receive bookings via my Practice Website or Social Media?
Yes!
The Myhealth1st team will be happy to assist you in placing a ”Book Now” button on your practice website or social media page. This will launch an integrated booking widget, showing the practitioner and treatments types offered at your practice.
This is optional, but should you wish to use, the charges are in two options:
1)$45 ex GST for new patient bookings, in the same way as via MyHealth1st.com.au; or
2)$75/month and for unlimited bookings through your own website(s)
