Andre is a highly skilled and well-experienced social worker with an emphasis in mental health. He has experience as a social worker and clinician both within Australia and overseas and in challenging environments, including but not limited to the work with the Department of Human Services / Child Protection and in the Northern Territory. Andre obtained his Bachelors degree from Texas Christian University, double-majoring in Social Work and Biology. When he moved to Australia, he worked with the Department of Human Services / Child Protection and as a disability case manager in the Government / Community sector. In 2009 Andre obtained his Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Melbourne. As part of his degree he undertook a 3 month placement at Alice Springs Hospital in the palliative care unit.
